Fundraising tips

Here are our top tips on on how to raise load of money for vulnerable children ... and have a great time while doing it!

• Add £2 to your ticket price as a donation to the charity – remember your audience need to know how much of the ticket price will be going to the cause
• Pass a bucket round for 123sing! at the end of the performance and ask your audience for donations
• Encourage your singers to “bring and sing” – making a donation to the charity for taking part
• Get sponsored to sing in a silly outfit – and ask your fellow singers to do the same!
• Get cooking with your choir and sell homemade cakes, biscuits and tea or alcoholic drinks during the interval
• Ask a local shop to donate a bottle of champagne or box of chocolates and raffle it off on the day
• Why not let your singers choose their finale? Let them make a vote for their final song in return for a £1 donation – or ask the audience to do the same
• Do a sponsored sing-a-thon —how long can you keep going?
• Invite your local newspaper to cover your 123sing! event to raise awareness

Remember to print out our poster about 123sing! and The Classic FM Foundation and stick them up around the event so that singers and audiences know how they will be making a big difference to children's lives through music.
